This time, it's a gripping stage adaptation of Stephen King's novel "The Shawshank Redemption".
Andy, a young banker, is accused of murdering his wife and her lover. He is sentenced to two life sentences and serves his time in Shawshank Prison.
In prison, Andy is violently attacked by a rabid gang of criminals and by the wardens. Gradually he becomes close to a small group of inmates, especially Red, a black market prison dealer. Over time, his professional skills as a banker become in demand. Beginning with filling out tax returns, Andy moves on to laundering money for the Head of the prison. And after seventeen years in prison, irrefutable evidence of his innocence emerges...
There is no limit to brutality behind bars, and yet Andy manages to endure and survive there thanks to his intelligence, wit, and quiet and exceptional character. He is forced to look at life in a new way, and manages to give the inmates meaning, and his friend Red, hope for a future beyond the prison walls.
"The Shawshank Redemption" was nominated for seven Academy Awards, was selected by more than two million surfers as Best Picture on IMDB and has become one of the greatest films.
